When I called and asked what was going on, they told me it turned out they didn't have it in VF, only Fine. One of them was ordered in VF condition, then when they checked the order in I noticed they weren't going to be including one of them. I don't recall what they were but they were in sequential order. One time I ordered about 20 comics from them. I've been ordering from them for about 10 years and while for the most part it's been great, I have experienced a couple of customer service issues with them myself. I am disappointed and hope to make a difference. I am hoping someone on reddit not only hears my rant, but chooses not to support this business. Since then I have tried emailing the customer service back but they are not responding. Unfortunately after wasting my own time and money to return the comic, they refunded me less than I spent, time not included. You should check to make sure you aren't sending a damaged product before you ship it. Shipping can be pricey, which is why you shouldn't ship an inferior product in the first place. The most frustrating thing from this ordeal is that upon returning the comic to them, I was not refunded the entirety of the cost for shipping. The comic was not very valuable and I suggested that they just resend a copy that fits the description I paid for. After speaking with customer service they said I should return it for them to review, which I did. This suggests that the company placed an obviously damaged comic in my order. The damage likely was not from shipping, as the comic was placed securely in the middle of the comics ordered, and no others had been harmed. The comic had a significant tear on the middle of the cover, a bent and folded corner, and significant impact damage on the front cover as if someone had used it as a writing pad. Upon opening the package, I discovered that this specific comic was very damaged and not at all as described and advertised. It was shipped from their location to Alaska, where I live, along with an order of 10 other comics. They give out your information without consent.I recently ordered a Gambit #2 comic from 1993 in 'VF' advertised condition from. Their prices are inflated compared to other online graphic novel dealers. They appear to give out customer's emails without their consent as well. I looked on other sites for the same book I ordered and those who had it were pricing it for at least $50 less in the same condition! I should have just gone with one of their competitors in the first place! No wonder they had to close up their brick and mortar stores years ago! The negative Glassdoor reviews on being an employee there do not appear to be a positive sign either!Īfter I ordered from them I received an uptick in the amount of junk emails I receive. She lied flat out as hours later the refund was granted through PayPal. When I called back Beth Abbott denied that Buddy ever said he was giving me a refund. Called back and spoke to Skyler who also ignored my request and told me, "the conversation is over" I emailed them requesting an ETA of my refund that they promised and had to open up a PayPal request. I asked for it in writing but he ignored this request and said he was hanging up. Called them on 7/20/18 for refund and they were rude and would not even refund my shipping! I called back on 7/30/18 and spoke to the owner, Buddy who accused me of being the rude party but promised me a refund. Obviously the words were NOT written on the package as promised by Beth. The package was left outside and went missing. My local post office looks for this on any packages of mine they get and WILL hold it at the post office if they see the words on the package. I still have this email in my Hotmail account. Beth Abbott from M圜 said over email she would. Asked them over email to put "Do not leave outside" on the package.
